Gently Used Stuff Online Auction "Verified Seller" Program 
In an effort to provide a safe and secure environment for our members we have installed a member verification program.
Basically it is to verify your identification and confirm that you are indeed who you say you are. It is not a perfect system but a step towards helping everybody be as safe as possible. Verification ensures members authenticity and eliminates fraudulent sellers and bidders.
There are benefits to becoming verified. The ID verified logo will appear next to your name on the site. Also when you verify you will receive $10 in site credits added to your account. Credits can be used toward auction upgrades or for advertisement on the site.
- You do not have to be verified in order to Buy on Gently Used Stuff Online Auction but doing so makes you a more appealing buyer and seller. - Buyers may also avoid bidding on auctions where the seller is not verified.
Verified accounts are noted with a seller verified seal 
We believe that the high caliber and accountability of our sellers is worth the trouble of verification. And our sellers feel the same about verified buyers.
It's a very simple and fast process a verification fee of $2.50 is paid through one of the accepted payment methods such as Paypal or Google Checkout. Once done this allows Gently Used Stuff Online Auction to confirm your information and it is valid until your name, home address or phone number changes.
Becoming a verified seller is simple. Simply log in to your account. Click on the "Members Area" tab at the top of the screen. Click on the "Selling" icon below in your "Members Area". To the right of the screen you will see the "Seller Status" Box. Click the "Get Verified" link.
* Site credits cannot be used to purchase merchandise and have no cash value.

All new members registering during the month of March will receive a featured home page banner for their new store - FREE!
Your free banner will run thru May 30, 2009 and will be randomly displayed on the homepage.
The image size should be 480 X 60.
All new members to sign up during the month of February will qualify for a free 3 month subscription for an Advanced Store.

If you are a seller on Gently Used Stuff Online Auction site, you will need to set up your Google Checkout account and edit your information in "My Account" in the Members Area before being able to select Google checkout for your auctions. To do this you will need to first set up an account with Google, specify integration settings on Google, then enter details into your "MyAccount" area (full details below).
1) You will need to sign-up for a Google Checkout Account at the below url: https://checkout.google.com/sell/signup
2) Visit the below url to integrate your payment settings for GentlyUsedStuff. https://checkout.google.com/sell/settings?section=Integration
**Make note of your Google Merchant ID and your Google Merchant Key - you need this info for your GentlyUsedStuff direct pay settings (step 4 below).
* DO NOT check the box for "My company will only post digitally signed carts." * Enter your API callback url, which is: https://www.gentlyusedstuff.com/pp_gc.php * Check the XML as your call back method. * Click the save button
3) Click on the preferences link on the left side of the Google integration page. * Check the box that says: Automatically authorize and charge the buyer's credit card. VERY IMPORTANT! * Click the save preferences button
4) Now log in to your GentlyUsedStuff account. You will then click the "My Account" tab in the members area, then click the "Manage Account" sub-tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page, to the "direct payment settings" section. Here you will need to enter your Google merchant ID and your Google merchant key, then click the update button.
Now your Google direct pay is configured. Auctions you list from this point will now have "Google Direct Pay" as an option. Which means buyers can pay you directly from the GentlyUsedStuff Online Auction site, for auctions they win from you.
